ARTIST BIO:
  Maxine Gray, originally from Ohio and Pennsylvania
  moved to California with her sister in 1967 in her
  VW bug. Maxine and her husband moved to Tucson in
  1995 and now is semi-retired but travels across the
  country harvesting leaves and participating in many 
  arts and crafts shows with her leaf creations.

  Maxine learned to make one-of-a-kind leaf jewelry 
  and novelty items from her sister.  The family secret
  for turning natural leaves into skeletonized leaves
  then electroplating them with copper and processing
  them to change color without paints, dyes, or stains
  produces most amazing vibrant shimmering colors.
