Warning Description: Winter Storm Warning

Warning Date: 2:35 am MST on February 10, 2010

WarningSum:...Winter Storm Warning In Effect From 3 Pm This Afternoon To
11 Am Mst Thursday Above 4000 Feet...

Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a Winter Storm
Warning for heavy snow...which is in effect from 3 PM this
afternoon to 11 am MST Thursday above 4000 feet. The Winter Storm
Watch is no longer in effect.
* Snow accumulations...total snowfall accumulations of 1 to 3 
  inches will be possible at 4000 feet...with 12 to 18 inches of 
  snow above 7000 feet. Isolated thunderstorms will result in
  localized lower snow levels and heavier snowfall amounts.
* Snow levels...snow levels will start off around 6000 feet this
  morning...then lower to between 3500 to 4000 feet by late this
  afternoon.
* Winds...southwest winds 10 to 20 mph with occasional gusts to
  35 mph will produce areas of blowing snow.
* Impacts...snowfall in lower elevations will cause icy and slick
  roadways resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Warning means heavy snow accumulations are
expected. Gusty winds and blowing snow is also possible. This
will make travel very difficult or impossible...especially in the
mountains.

on this winter storm.
